Sick of the look of your outdated kitchen, but don’t have the hours or funds to completely revamp it? If so, then it’s time that you bite the bullet and make the changes yourself. Believe it or not, it’s actually totally possible to give yourself a “new” kitchen space for cheap—and the best part is that you’ll only need a weekend to complete it!

In today’s video from the Rachael Ray Show, you will see that there really is no excuse for living with a kitchen that you don’t love. By completing these simple projects, you too can craft a warm, colorful, creative space for cooking and hanging out.

Spruce up your cabinets

If you have wood cabinets, then consider giving them a splash of color. For the best results, be sure that you sand down all of your cabinets and drawers prior to slathering on a new coat of paint.

Give your faucet a makeover

Most people out there don’t know that they actually have a choice when it comes to their faucet’s finish. To change yours, simply apply some spray paint with a built-in primer that has been rated for both metal and indoor-outdoor use. It’s a small change that can make a big difference!

Make your shelves pop

For even more added color, consider applying some contact paper to your shelves. We love this tip because not only does this allow for an unexpected pop of color, it also protects your most vulnerable pieces from stains and condensation.

Try out a temporary design on your wall

What do you think about these tips? Have you tried any of these yourself? How have you made cheap changes to your kitchen?
